Danny's flight simulator

I decided to build my own flight simulator

It is system of systems.

Main systems are:

1. Propulsion

2. Mechanical Structure

3. Electronic control

4. Sim Software

Propulsion

After reading on several of different propulsion systems like motors , servos etc... i chose the Pneumatic system

It has the most strong attributes neede to move the structure. and fastest response time i could find.

for example for linear electric actuator in reasonable price i examined it would take it 25 seconds to do 40 degrees movement of the sim structure. imagine waitng 20 seconds in fighter jet to make a turn while your FSX already does another turn in the meantime.

Mechanical structure

I strated designing with PVC but was afraid of the price of all the connectors. than the Strength (maybe too weak).

then i calculated some beams and chose hollow rectangular beams, 40x40 , 30x30 , 20x20

also chose some heavy duty bearings and rods 25 mm diamater.

Electronic control

I love controllers but to keep the budget tight i chose simple ARDUINO UNO controller which has open source and many apps in the net.

Sim software

You got to love microsoft's flight simulator X if you love aurplanes, aircrafts and all the rest.

so no need to explain

i used FSX basic sw

then upgraded to FSX Accelerator

then FSX F15E my favorite aircraft or F15i
